Year-Long Programs |
GED Class
This is an Oakton Community College sponsored class that prepares an individual to complete the GED (General Education Developmental) exam. An Oakton Community College teacher here teaches the course in English and Spanish in one of the classrooms. Registration is processed through the teacher and not the Rosemont Recreation Center. Must be at least 18 years of age. Please call the Recreation Center to set up a meeting with the teacher.

ESL Class
A seasonal course offered by Oakton Community College. The course is designed to teach students the fundamentals of speaking, reading and writing in English. Registration is processed through the teacher and not the Rosemont Recreation Center. Please call the Recreation Center for dates of seasonal course.

Aerobics Class
Aerobics class is offered daily as a means to stay in shape over the course of the year. Two different instructors offer different hours to fit the needs of any individual. Instructors certified in Zumba, Step, Kick-Box, Tae-Bo and Aero Latino classes.

Exercise Room
Our Exercise Room is equipped with treadmills, free weights, Step-Master and other equipment. Must be 14 years old and in high school to enter the exercise room. Yearly waivers must be completed and signed prior to working out. A parent or legal guardian must sign the waiver if you are not 18 years old. Proof of residency is required, and you must leave your driver’s license or other I.D. at the desk on every visit. If you are not working out, you are not allowed in the exercise room.

Non-Residents: $8.00/daily

Homework Help
If you are in elementary school, jr. high or high school and need help with homework, come visit the Recreation Center and get help from our staff at our designated hours. The entire staff here at the Rosemont Recreation Center is bilingual in English and Spanish.

Computer Lab
Need time on a computer and/or internet to finish your homework, fill out an application or write/send emails to family members? Our computer lab offers access to the internet and Microsoft Office to get that all done.

Seasonal Events |
Easter Candy Contest
Come by the front desk of the Rosemont Recreation Center to guess how many pieces of candy are in the jar. Each person is allowed only one guess. The guess closet to the actual number wins the candy!

Santa’s Mailbox
Santa and his helpers will personally read and answer all your children’s letters if received no later than December 14. Letters may also be dropped off at the Rosemont Recreation Center desk; we have a special mailbox for Santa’s letters. If you mail your letters, they must be addressed to:

Holiday Candy Contest
The holiday season is here and it’s time to get your guessing skills going. Come by the front desk at the Rosemont Recreation Center and take one guess as to how many pieces of candy are in the jar. Remember, only one guess, so make it a good one!

Easter Egg Hunt
Come join Peter Cottontail at the Rosemont Recreation Center for an afternoon of egg hunting. Please, all children must bring their own Easter basket to carry the eggs they collect. The Egg hunt will be outdoors, weather permitting. Come early rather than late; we will start on time and everything moves very quickly. There will be lots of Easter eggs, prizes and candy for all! We do not charge for this annual event. However, it is for Rosemont residents only.

Summer Community Picnic
The summer has come to an end, but the fun hasn’t. The Rosemont Recreation will have its annual community picnic here at the Recreation Center. There will be food, refreshments, face painting, outdoor games, splash pad, music and outdoor inflatables. Open for all residents of Rosemont. Bring the entire family and enjoy the last few days of summer with the rest of the community!

Halloween Party
Halloween is here and time to show off your costume. The Rosemont Recreation Center will have music, pizza, and games and candy here for the kids of all ages. Please come dressed up and ready to play! Children should bring their own bag for candy.
